APRIL 7TH, 8TH, 14TH, 15TH, 21ST & 22ND, GUIDED MUSHROOM HUNT @ 1PM & 3:30PM

Wear your sturdy shoes and grab a sack! Pere Marquette’s Guided Mushroom Hunt is back! Learn from local Mushroom Hunters and keep what you find!!! This event is open for all ages. It’s no secret that our State Park is filled with gobs of Morel Mushrooms. Participate in this event and learn where to find them, what to look for, and even how to cook them up! We will host 2 classes on each of the following dates at 1pm and 3:30pm. Classes are 2 hours long. If you’ve had your fill of Mushrooms before the class is over, feel free to head back whenever you’d like. This is a low key, fun for all event!

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the event. We will meet in our Great Room for a quick chat and then take a short, 5-10 minute drive to our honey holes! Spots are $10 each, kids 10 & under are FREE! And please, tip your guide, Joe! He is doing this out of the kindness of his heart and his love of Mushroom Hunting!

APRIL 9TH, EASTER EGG HUNT @ 11AM & 1PM

We will have our annual Easter Egg Hunt on our Cabin Lawn at 11am and 1pm! Ages 0-12 welcome! All of our eggs will be filled with goodies but if you find the one and only golden egg, the Easter Bunny may just bring you and your family a free night stay at our one of a kind Lodge! The Easter Egg Hunt will not be held if it is raining. Please check our Facebook page the day of for any weather related news.

Our Dining Room will also be open. Reservations can be made for parties of 6 or more only by calling 618-786-2331, extension 502. Parties under 6 people, are seated on a walk in basis only.

APRIL 12TH, WINE PAIRING DINNER- MUSHROOM at 6:30pm

Join us at The Lodge in our Dining Room for a gourmet dinner party like no
other! 4 courses and unlimited wine! What’s better than that!?

This month’s feature: Mushrooms! Just in time for our local Mushroom season! 

How does our wine pairing dinner work you ask? Our chef creates each individual dish that matches the theme of our Wine Dinner. To go the extra mile, our local wine expert, Jim Newton, will hand select wines to accompany each specific dish. If you’ve been to one of our Wine Dinners in the past, you know that Jim never disappoints with his pairings!

This unique event is perfect for a date night, a girls night out, a family outing, those of you wine lovers, those of you wanting to learn more about wine, and anyone else over the age of 21 looking for a good time! 

So what’s the cost? Seats for the dinner are $60 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Those who are spending the night with us will get their seats for only $55, plus tax and gratuity.

APRIL 16TH, WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP @ 10am-1pm

Regardless if you’re a modern-day Picasso or you still draw stick people, this class is for you! It’s for all skill levels! Artist and teacher, Carolyn Owen Sommer, will guide you with ease through a 3 hour-long course here at the beautiful and inspiring Pere Marquette Lodge!

You will be painting and taking home either an 8×10 or a 9×12 watercolor scene and is held in our private Ballroom.

This class is $60 per person and includes all of your supplies!

APRIL 19TH, TRASH BASH at 11am-2pm

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Earth Day (April 22nd) than gettin’ our hands dirty picking up trash! This is a free event and open to everyone! We encourage you to come out and help us keep Mother Nature looking her best as we pick up trash and debris around the Lodge, Visitor’s Center, and bike trails. 

If you are a high school student needing community service hours, we will have someone on site signing off on these! We would also love to have volunteer groups out such as school groups, boy/girl scouts, etc. If you are apart of a group that would like to participate, call Arielle at 618-786-2331, ext. 338 and let her know you plan on joining! Everyone else, just show up and get ready to make a difference!

APRIL 23RD, MUSHROOM FESTIVAL & HUNT at 11am-3pm

It’s finally back! The Mushroom Festival is returning to Pere Marquette Lodge and will be bigger than ever before! This event is free and open to the public and great for all ages! Come join us for live music, unique craft vendors, lunch in the restaurant, locally made wines, and all there is to know about Morel mushrooms!

The Great Morel Hunt will be held at 1pm (weather and morel permitting). You’ll join fellow hunters from all over the area as you scan the ground for these delicious delicacies! If you’re new to mushroom hunting, not to worry! The Lodge will have 2 seasoned hunters out in the woods with you for help! Once the hunt is over, bring your finds back to the Lodge to see if you found the smallest, biggest, or most Morel shrooms. If you do, you’ll be taking home a free night stay to our one of a kind Lodge! The hunt is free! Please wear sturdy shoes as you will be on uneven ground. Spring is in the air and mushrooms are on the ground…let’s find em!

MAY 7TH, PERE (BARK)ETTE at 12pm-3pm

It’s the best kind of happy hour there is…or should we say “yappy” hour? This time around, we will be collecting donations for our area’s local animal shelter, The Riverbend Humane Society!

Bring your four-legged friend to Pere Marquette Lodge and spend the day together on our Mary Michelle Winery patio! This event is free and open to the public. We will also be accepting donations for the Riverbend Humane Society in Jerseyville, IL. Anyone who brings in a donation will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate to our Dining Room!

We will have drink specials, live music, dog treats, a pet costume contest and plenty of hiking trails available to you!

COSTUME CONTEST:
One swaggy doggy will win their owner(s) a free night stay at our one of a kind Lodge! Judging at 1:30pm sharp!

MAY 14TH, MOTHER’S DAY BRUNCH at 10am-5pm

Show mom how much she means to you and bring her to brunch at the scenic Pere Marquette Lodge! Prices and more information coming soon!

JUNE 4TH, GOAT YOGA at 9am and 11am

Yoga and Pere Marquette State Park, what could be better? GOATS! Adding goats makes it better. Our friends at Goat Yoga of Southern Illinois will be here at The Lodge and leading a yoga session with their cuddly kids. Choose between a 9am or an 11am session and get ready to cuddle and climbed on by adorable goats!
 
Tickets are on a first come, first serve basis and $35 per person. No yoga experience needed! This event is for everyone! Bring your own mat/towel or leave it at home and rent one for $5. TICKETS CAN ONLY BE PURCHASED ONLINE. Once we get the link to purchase tickets, we will post it here and on our Facebook page.

JUNE 17TH, FREE YOGA AT THE LODGE at 9am

Join us for an hour long yoga session on our cabin lawn. Take in the sights, sounds, and smells of our 8,000+ acre State Park and get your day started off right at this free event! This class is for everyone of all skill levels, just bring a mat and good vibes. Class will meet at the Father Marquette statue located on our cabin lawn. Ask a Front Desk team member for directions if you’re unsure where this is. Hope to see you there!

JUNE 18TH, FATHER’S DAY BEER GARDEN at 12pm-4pm

Happy Father’s Day! Let’s celebrate with a Beer Garden on our river-view terrace! The event will feature live music, good food, and ice cold beer (of course).
 
No admission fee or reservations required. Simple and stress free just the way dad’s like it! Seating is limited so feel free to bring your lawn chairs. Also, if it’s hotter than heck out, we will move this event indoors to our Great Room. Come spend Father’s Day in true dad fashion- a band, food, and brews. Cheers dads! We couldn’t do life without you!
