If you’ve been to one of our Wine Dinners in the past\, you know that Jim never disappoints with his pairings! Each course will come with a complimentary glass of wine. DESCRIPTION:A bright event you won’t want to miss! This informative class will take you through the steps of hand poured candles.\n\nParticipants of this experience will take home 2 candles that they have hand poured and crafted themselves. There will be multiple scent options to choose from and you’ll have the ability to make a truly unique\, signature product. Gift one\, keep one\, keep them both\, we don’t judge.\n\nThe wax used is 100% soy and local with a variety of scent options. There will also be raffles and door prizes throughout the event!\n\nThis candle making experience is $50 per person and includes all supplies. To reserve your spot\, please call Arielle at 618-786-2331\, extension 338. Please note\, seating is limited as we can only take 20 guests.\n*Candles take 1 hour to set after being created. During this waiting period\, you can grab a drink in our Winery\, grab a bite to eat in our Dining Room\, take a hike on one of our multiple trails or simply hang by the fireplace in our Great Room.\n\nAbout the Instructor:\nKimberly Kilgore is a mother of 5 and once put up the good fight for the people as a prosecutor for twenty years! She left that world behind and decided to use her creative talents to spread joy! In 2023\, she opened a boutique and maker’s space in Mascoutah\, Illinois\, Paper Moon. She held her first candle making class over a year ago and it has since become her passion! She makes and offers several varieties of candles\, wax melts\, and diffusers at Paper Moon and hosts classes in multiple locations\, offering others the opportunity to learn how to make candles.\n\nIn this class\, you will enjoy learning basic candle knowledge and science\, choosing your scent\, and hand pouring two\, 100% soy candles from soybeans produced right here in the heartland! Part of the class will also include bingo and prizes including candles\, wax bars\, and car diffusers! Come join!

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a beginner stained glass class and learn the art from a local Alton legend\, Lynnt Ulett!\n\nLynne is an artist and the owner of Alton Stained Glass Works\, located in Alton\, Illinois. She will guide students through glass cutting\, grinding\, foiling\, and soldering. You will work at your own pace and by the end of the class\, you will have completed a unique stained-glass window or light catcher that is yours to take home!\n\nAll supplies and your lunch will be provided during your creative retreat. The event starts at 9:30am and typically goes until 5pm or so.\n\nGuests must stay the night either Saturday or Sunday to participate in this creative retreat. DESCRIPTION:Not to brag\, but we’re located next to some of the best peach orchards around! Why not celebrate?! We will be hosting our annual Peach Festival here at the Lodge and we want you to join in on the sweetness of the day!\n\nThis festival takes place once a year at our historic landmark and attracts visitors from all over the region. From young children to those who have been sampling peaches for decades\, our Peach Fest offers a chance to enjoy a free family outing while trying some of the most delicious peaches in the country!\n\nLocal peach growers will be presenting their carefully tended peaches for visitors to purchase. Peaches are the reason for the season but\, our festival will also feature live music\, fresh produce\, 40+ unique vendors\, kid’s activities\, drink specials and Robin’s famous peach sangria\, a pie eating contest and our well known game…the Peach Pitting contest!\n\nPEACH PITTING- Buy a peach\, eat it\, and save the pit. Bring your pit over to the game (located on the Cabin Lawn) and try to throw it in a winning cup. 1 try per pit. Miscellaneous prizes will be awarded for those able to land their pit in the cup…maybe even a few free night stays!\n\nPIE EATING CONTEST- Think you can eat a peach pie faster than everyone else at the table? If you do\, you’ll win a FREE NIGHT STAY to our Lodge and a goody bag of Pere Marquette Lodge swag. 2pm on our Cabin Lawn. This contest is $15 to participate in.
